6 inch Green-turned Iron Bark Eucalyptus bowl. This photo was taken a day after the bowl was turned. Turned on the same day the tree was cut down. I was expecting this bowl to warp a lot. Here, it is just starting to raise the grain's bumpy texture. This photo was taken one week later, the wood completely dry. The bowl is now 6 inches in diameter in one direction. 90 degrees to that measurement, it's 4 inches in diameter. The rim warping down and out in one direction and bending toward the inside of the bowl in another direction. The soft bumpy texture is much more dramatically warped.
