I just finished this year's 19th mobile . A successful test of an idea. Test piece made from wire. It is unusual in the sense that the mobile's elements are balanced and arranged in an ascending fashion as opposed to the usual descending fashion.The elements hang "up hill", so to speak. It works but not well, though it proves the idea works. This one will hang from a wall.My brother, Rich, came up a couple of weeks ago and shot some video of me and my mobiles. It'll be on public access TV in San Francisco some time soon. I don't get that channel, so I'll have to wait for a copy from Rich to see how it came out. I plan on putting it on my YouTube channel when I get a copy. In the meantime you can see a lot of my mobiles on my web site.
I'm also working on an 18 piece mixed media collage series. It started out as a 32 piece series but got to be too much work. This one will take a while to finish. I work on a few pieces in the series, (up to 10), at a time. It's fairly tedious work. I work on it a couple times a week, then I might not touch it for months. I started this piece about a year ago. I'm in no hurry to finish it. This series, so far untitled, is related stylistically to one of my earlier works "Obsolescence of Reason"
