This is another small Elm wood bowl turned from green wood (very wet). This one measures about 4 inches in diameter and about 1.5 inches high. The darker wood is the heart wood. This was very green (wet) wood and here the bowl is about a week after it was turned and is now dry. It has shrunken and warped. Wood shrinks according to the grain, so it comes out elliptical in shape, shrinking more in one direction than the other. This was wet sanded with mineral oil, then air dried. After that is was sanded again, then oiled with Orange oil, then sanded with MicroMesh 2400 grit sandpaper.
