I've been wanting to make this for some time. I finally got around to it. This mallet is 10 inches long and it's 5 inches from the face of one hammer head to the other. That's a 3/4 inch steel threaded pipe "T" connector. The hammer heads are White Oak, the handle is Mahogany. The handle and both heads are threaded, not glued, into the T-connector. That makes this a little easier to fix if the wood breaks. This thing has quite a bit of heft to it. It goes well with the awl I posted a bit earlier. The finish is orange oil and wax.
