Here is a nice little spalted Maple bowl I turned. It measures 2 inches high by 3.5 in diameter. I had this nice piece of spalted Maple that wasn't too far gone. There's a bit of bark left near the base on opposite sides of the bowl. I finished the bowl with sanding sealer and a couple of light coats of high speed polish. There is a "foot" around the base of the bowl. A very beautiful little piece of wood is now a beautiful, functional object.
