Spalted Maple, 8.5 inches diameter, 1.75 inches deep. The wide brim is slightly dished. Wet sanded up to 320 grit, with mineral oil. Finished with Danish Oil. I've got to use up this spalted Maple before it goes bad. Spalting is caused by a fungus at the beginning stages of decomposition (rot). Once the wood's completely dried the rotting process is halted.
