Spalted Maple Bowl

 

Here's a small spalted Maple bowl measuring 3.25 inches by one inch high. 

Nice Spalted Maple Dish

 

Here's a 5.5 inch diameter by one inch high dish turned from spalted Maple wood. It has a flat overhanging rim. Some nice figuring in the grain can be seen through the spalting.

Tiny Mahogany Pot #2

 

Another tiny pot. This one is Mahogany measuring 1 inch diameter and 1.5 inches high. The lid is friction fit. 

Small Spalted Maple Bowl

 Here's a small spalted Maple bowl measuring 5.25 inches diameter by 2.25 inches high. I put a couple of beads on the outside of the rim. Nice spalting.

Tiny Mahogany Pot

Here's a tiny Mahogany pot, measuring just shy of an inch high and 1.25 inches diameter. I'm making a set of tiny classic ceramic pot shapes. This is just practice for some of the lathe tools which I don't usually use on a regular basis, so I need the practice. 

Small Iron Bark Eucalyptus Bowl

 This bowl measures 4 inches diameter by 1 inch high. Finished with Danish Oil. 

Iron Bark Eucalyptus Bowl

This is a 6 inch diameter by 1.25 high Iron Bark Eucalyptus wood bowl. This wood is really hard and tough on my tools but it is beautiful wood. This was a piece of crotch wood and has a bark inclusion through the middle of the bowl. This is finished with orange oil and then a couple of coats of Danish oil.
