This is a Blue Gum Eucalyptus wood bowl 5 inches in diameter and 2 inches high. From a tree branch that came down in my yard in a storm. I added an incised line just below the rim. The bowl was finished with orange oil and bees wax polished at high speed. Eucalyptus has a beautiful delicate grain seen in the close ups below. (click on an image to see a larger version)

Two Small Maple Bowls
I turned a couple of small Maple bowls this week end. This one's about an inch high and 3 inches in diameter. Nice fiddle-back grain in both of these.
Here's the other one slightly higher but the same diameter. I added a bead just below the rim. View of the inside below.

Small Sycamore Bowl
This Sycamore wood bowl measures 5 inches in diameter by 2.5 inches high. Here's a nice flawless bowl with its beautiful delicate grain. Feels like satin to touch. Nice wood to turn.

Small Eucalyptus Bowl
This 5 inch diameter by1.75 inch high bowl was turned from slightly green Eucalyptus wood. That means I expect it to warp a little bit. Soon it won't be round any more, and the rim will drop on opposite sides of the bowl. You can see it happening already in the photos. I don't expect it to be a lot of warping though.
