Spalted Maple Box

This is a footed spalted Maple box turned on my lathe. It is 2.5 inches in diameter and 4.25 inches high. There were some voids inside this piece of wood which I filled with black Milliput epoxy. Here, I'm challenging myself with more difficult things to turn. I'd call this one a success.

Small Pear Bowl

Click on image to see larger version

This is a small footed bowl turned on my lathe. It is Pear wood. The dimensions are 1.75 inches high and 3.25 inches in diameter. The dark spot is a bit of bark, giving this bowl a unique bit of character. Up until now, it's been too cold in my shop to do this kind of work. Expect to see more soon.

Rolling Guitar Rack

I made a guitar rack because it takes up less space in my studio than a bunch of single guitar stands. This one holds 6 to 10 guitars depending on what kind I put on it. This stand takes up the space of 3 single guitar stands. It has wheels and the neck yokes on the top bar can slide along that bar to line up with whatever guitar I decide to but on it. This cost next to nothing to make . . . made from scrap wood and carpet, the wheels came off an office chair that broke . . . threw out the chair and saved the wheels.
